They consist of a swage shank on one end and a special "drop pin" fitting on the other end. The drop pin is designed to swivel, allowing for easy insertion into either square or round metal posts.
Here's how it works: By swiveling the pin into a position parallel to the long axis of the fitting, you can insert it into the post. Once inside, the pin automatically swivels into a perpendicular position, securely preventing the stud from pulling away from the post.
